TVRT, acronym of World TV and Radio Tuner, is a small application for television and radio lovers. Do you want to watch TV for a while? Are you bored of the same shows? Now you can view TV channels and listen to radio stations from all around the globe and even record them!

This program is easy to use; it has a very simple interface and multilanguage support. You simply select the country in which you're interested in the left pane, and the television channel or radio station you want to listen to.

When I tried TVRT, I could tune Afghanistan TV perfectly, but couldn't tune any TV channel from USA, Mexico or Canada.

It is important to bear in mind that any of the channels can get you an error message (Station Unavailable), but it is not a problem with this program, but the channel or radio station that at in that specific moment is not available. However, with the large options list, it will be difficult to not find a channel or radio station of your liking.

TVRT brings support and interface in 6 languages (English, French, Italian, German, Portuguese and Spanish), tuning through menus and its toolbar, more than 1243 on-line TV channels and 7860 radio stations, dimension-configurable screen, database updates in real time, search engine, bookmarks manager and options, and so on. It includes installer and uninstaller and it is skinable.

This version can be used for life without charge, with the condition of maintaining a browser toolbar installed, that is downloaded separately; this makes TVRT an "ad supported software". In order to eliminate this toolbar, you must buy the Commercial version.

Minimum requirements:
• Windows Operating System (98/98SE/Me/2000/XP/Vista).
• Real One Player 8 or higher or Windows Media Player 7 or higher, or Winamp 2.80 or higher.
• Microsoft Internet Explorer 5 or higher.
• Broadband connection

Its database simplifies the TV and radio web searching.

It is a tuner only, it uses the installed players (depending on the broadcasting format) to play the TV channels or radio stations.
